Submit your item for a complimentary auction estimate from our specialists. We respond within 3–4 weeks with valuation and consignment terms.
We specialize in Asian art and welcome consignments including Chinese porcelain, scholar's objects, bronzes, classical and modern Chinese paintings & calligraphy, Japanese tea utensils, Japanese paintings and antiques, and more.
After each sale our team will review the results with you and propose options based on your specific situation, which may include re-offering at a future sale, private treaty, or return.
Payment is settled within 35 calendar days after the close of the sale, after deduction of the consignor commission and related expenses. Settlement is by bank transfer; please contact us for special needs.
Your specialist will present specific consignment terms. If the consigned item sells, a consignor commission is charged based on a percentage of the hammer price. Other external costs (shipping, restoration, framing) are agreed in advance.
Please ensure the entire artwork is visible. In addition to a clear overall image, please provide close-ups of each side, all signatures and marks, and any condition issues.

Sell Terms
These seller-facing terms are drawn from Azaya's consignment agreement and are provided here for review before submitting an estimate request. The downloadable PDF remains the formal agreement copy.

Azaya Art Gallery acts as the consignor's agent for auction sale and may decide suitability, sale timing, venue, lot grouping, estimates, catalogue descriptions, bidding procedure, and the use of third-party platforms.

Commission is charged on the hammer price: 10% for lots selling for $2,500 or more, 20% for $500-$2,499, and 30% for lots under $500. Unsold lots may incur the greater of 5% of reserve or $125.

Property should be delivered in saleable condition no less than 75 days before the auction. Withdrawal requires Azaya Art Gallery's consent and may carry a fee based on 20% of the low estimate or insured value.

With consignor approval, Azaya Art Gallery may arrange refurbishment, authentication, certification, or condition reporting at the consignor's expense. Goods in Azaya Art Gallery's possession are insured against specified risks up to the low pre-sale estimate.

The consignor is responsible for information supplied about the goods and indemnifies Azaya Art Gallery for losses arising from inaccurate descriptions, ownership claims, or breach of applicable requirements.

The reserve is confidential and will not exceed the low pre-sale estimate. Azaya Art Gallery may take reasonable actions to protect the reserve and may withdraw goods where authenticity, representation, or agreement issues arise.

Azaya Art Gallery may deduct consignor commission, approved expenses, applicable taxes, and other amounts owed from the hammer price. Azaya Art Gallery retains the buyer's premium.

Azaya Art Gallery provides a settlement statement and remits sale proceeds within 35 days after the auction, provided full payment has been received from the buyer.

Unsold or withdrawn goods are returned at the consignor's risk and expense. Unsold goods should be collected within 30 days; storage may be charged at $3 per day per lot, and uncollected goods after 180 days may transfer to Azaya Art Gallery.

Azaya Art Gallery may photograph and use images of consigned goods. Consignors may not bid on their own goods. Azaya Art Gallery's liability is limited as set out in the written agreement.
